Father of two competes in women's sprint events

Wokist farce also at the International Paralympic Committee.

After the farce at the Olympic Games in Paris, where the trans women Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting were allowed to compete in women's boxing and won gold against real women, a man who “feels” like a woman is now also competing at the Paralympics.

The visually impaired Italian Fabrizio Petrillo, who called himself Valentina after undergoing hormone therapy in 2019 and has been competing in the women's category since 2020, wants to compete in the 200 and 400 meter sprints at the Paralympic Games starting in two weeks' time.

Outrage among feminist organizations

In contrast to the alleged boxers, more than 40 feminist organizations are now up in arms against the Italian's participation in the women's sprint competitions.

In Spain in particular, they are appalled by the permission of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), which apparently sees the man's participation in the women's event as another important symbol of inclusion.

Blind Spanish woman loses starting place

Because father-of-two (!) Petrillo is allowed to take part, blind Spaniard Melanie Bergés has to stay at home. She lost her starting place at the Paralympics in qualifying to the Italian man.

Spanish lawyer Irene Aguiar thinks this is unfair and is now taking her client Bergés to court.

Petrillo had previously won eleven national titles as a man, as the “New York Post” reports.

Nevertheless, the IPC is sticking to its decision to grant Petrillo permission to compete in the women's competitions. Andrew Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), supports her participation.

Petrillo is welcome under the rules of “World Para Athletics”. These allow people who are legally recognized as women to compete in the corresponding category. “We have to respect our rules, we can't break them.”
